The Magic Bus

Into The Wild, the story of Chris McCandless aka Alexander Supertramp’s life, has been a long time favourite of mine. First made into a book by Jon Krakauer and then a movie of the same name by Sean Penn, it’s so painfully sad and yet so inspiring at the same time.

Also, it really makes me want to travel to Alaska and discover the breathtaking scenery. I am planning on reading the book for a second time soon, as I just recently bought it again after having given my original copy to somebody I cared about at the time for their birthday. (Stupid idea! Please remind me to never do that again!) So come back soon for a closer look on McCandless’ solitary journey.

In the meantime, check out this video by National Geographic: 23 years after his death, McCandless’ home in the wilderness, The Magic Bus, is still out there, somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Alaska.
